About the Job

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is hiring a Cluster Legal Manager to manage legal matters and requirements across an assigned cluster.

Eligibility

5–7 years of experience in the legal function within the banking or financial services sector.
Strong experience in mortgage and property title due diligence.
Good knowledge of banking laws, the SARFAESI Act and the Negotiable Instruments Act.
Experience in handling litigation before DRT, Consumer Courts, Civil Courts and High Courts.
Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
Ability to manage legal matters across multiple branches and locations.

Responsibilities

Manage legal matters and requirements across the assigned cluster.
Conduct and oversee mortgage and property title due diligence.
Liaise with Sales, Credit teams and empanelled advocates for legal opinions and documentation.
Handle branch banking legal queries, including deceased claims and other legal matters.
Manage litigation matters before DRT, Consumer Courts, Civil Courts and High Courts.
Provide guidance on matters relating to the SARFAESI Act, Negotiable Instruments Act and other applicable laws.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel for timely resolution of legal matters.
Review and process legal/vendor bills and ensure proper documentation.
