About the Job
Hirani & Associates is looking for a litigator to join its IP and Media & Entertainment practice as an Associate.
The role focuses on trademark and copyright disputes while also offering exposure to non-contentious Media & Entertainment work. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to handle matters involving content, licensing, and brand portfolios.
Eligibility
Candidates should:
Join live law courses and learn directly from legal professionals.
- Be an India-qualified advocate.
- Have 2–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Have hands-on experience in IP litigation and trademark prosecution.
- Possess strong drafting and analytical skills.
- Have a genuine interest in the Media & Entertainment sector.
- Demonstrate the ability and judgment to handle matters independently.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Handling trademark and copyright litigation, including pleadings, applications, notices, strategy, and hearings.
- Appearing before and preparing matters for court.
- Drafting pleadings and applications.
- Managing trademark prosecution, including searches, filings, examination responses, and portfolio management.
- Drafting and negotiating production, licensing, and content agreements.
- Advising clients on the exploitation, enforcement, and structuring of rights across content, licensing, and brand portfolios.
