Amazon is inviting applications for the position of Associate Corporate Counsel at its Bengaluru office. The role involves providing legal advice across commercial transactions, intellectual property, e-commerce, regulatory compliance, company secretarial matters, and business initiatives while partnering closely with cross-functional teams.

Associate Corporate Counsel
Eligibility
- Associate Member (ACS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) with a valid membership.
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university in India.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience.
- Experience as a practicing lawyer or an in-house legal counsel in a reputed law firm or corporate legal department.
- Demonstrated experience in advising clients and independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts.
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in both a corporate law firm and an in-house legal role.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce marketplace, company secretarial, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Resolve issues arising from existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation disputes and legal inquiries.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts while ensuring compliance with legal requirements and business objectives.
- Review business initiatives and develop or refine terms and conditions for products, programmes, and services.
- Review and approve promotional materials and advertisements across print and digital platforms to ensure compliance with applicable laws and Amazon policies.
- Analyse business processes, understand commercial requirements, and prepare contractual documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams while exercising sound legal and business judgment.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and management on complex legal issues.
