About the Job

The Ministry of Civil Aviation is seeking applications for one Young Professional (YP) position in its Parliament Unit. The engagement will be on a contractual basis and will involve supporting parliamentary coordination, legislative work, committee matters, policy documentation, and stakeholder engagement within the Ministry.

Number of Positions

One (01) Young Professional.

Eligibility

  • Postgraduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
  • Maximum age of 30 years as on 01 August 2026.
  • Minimum one year of work experience in a public or private institution.

Desirable Skills

  • Consistently strong academic record.
  • Good comprehension and writing skills.
  • Ability to draft high-quality reports, briefs, and presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including MS Excel.
  • Understanding of Government of India rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of office procedures in government organizations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage extended working hours when required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating Parliament-related work of the Ministry.
  • Liaise with Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
  • Handle and monitor Parliamentary Questions, Special Mentions, and Zero Hour matters.
  • Prepare replies, briefs, background notes, Records of Discussion (RoD), and Action Taken Reports (ATR).
  • Coordinate Parliamentary Committee matters, including meetings, visits, and oral evidence.
  • Assist in legislative work relating to Bills, Ordinances, and laying of papers in Parliament.
  • Monitor Parliamentary Assurances and follow up with concerned divisions.
  • Organize Consultative Committee meetings and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with various divisions and PSUs for data collection, submissions, and portal uploads.
  • Undertake other Parliament-related assignments as directed by the Ministry.

Remuneration

₹54,000 per month (all-inclusive).

Contract Period

  • Initial engagement for one year.
  • Extendable by one year at a time based on performance, organizational requirements, and availability of funds.

Maximum Tenure

  • Maximum continuous tenure of three years (1+1+1).
  • Further extension of one year may be considered under exceptional circumstances.

Leave

12 days of casual leave for a completed period of one year on a pro-rata basis.

Parliament Unit, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, Safdarjung Airport, New Delhi.

Selection Process

  • Shortlisting based on qualifications and experience.
  • The Ministry may conduct an MCQ-based examination and a personal interview (50 marks each) for shortlisted candidates.
