About the Faculty of Law, Sigma University
The Faculty of Law, Sigma University, is a dynamic centre of excellence committed to high-quality legal education, research, and advocacy. With the Bar Council of India approval, the Faculty is empowered to offer professional law programs and contribute to strengthening legal intellect and justice delivery in India. We aim to nurture future advocates, corporate lawyers, judges, academicians, policy makers, and researchers through a curriculum that blends strong theoretical foundations with practical training such as moot courts, legal drafting, internships, and experiential learning across national and international law subjects.

The Faculty currently offers LL.B (3 Years), B.A. LL.B (5 Years), and BBA LL.B (5 Years). Our state-of-the-art facilities include smart classrooms, Moot Court Hall, Law Library, Central Library, Seminar Hall, Conference Room, Legal Aid Clinic, and Computer Lab, providing a vibrant and enriching academic environment.
About the Lex Equitas Club
The primary objective of the Lex Equitas Club, Faculty of Law, is to promote the ideals of justice, equity, and fairness while enriching the academic and practical learning experience of law students. The event aims to complement classroom teaching by enhancing awareness of contemporary legal issues and encouraging critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and analytical skills. It seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application by exposing students to real‑world legal perspectives and emerging challenges in the legal profession.
The Club also aims to develop advocacy, communication, research, and leadership skills by fostering active participation and collaborative learning. Another key objective is to promote constitutional values, social justice, and professional responsibility, thereby nurturing socially conscious and ethically driven legal minds. Through this initiative, the Lex Equitas Club strives to provide an inclusive platform for intellectual engagement and to prepare students to become competent and responsible legal professionals committed to the rule of law.
The competition is organized by the Lex Equitas Club, Faculty of Law, in collaboration with the Faculty of Social Work, SIGMA University, Vadodara, under the aegis of:
- Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)
- National Service Scheme (NSS)
About the Event
On the occasion of World Water Day, the organizing Committee aims to create awareness about:
- Water conservation
- Water justice
- Legal, constitutional, and human rights perspectives related to water
The event highlights the role of law in water governance amid challenges such as climate change, pollution, industrialization, and unsustainable water use.
Eligibility
- Open to all students of registered educational institutions.
- Participation can be:
- Individual, or
- Group of up to 3 students

- Content must be original and created exclusively for this competition
- University/College/Institution logos are strictly prohibited
- No copyrighted material unless self-created or copyright-free
- Any form of plagiarism will lead to disqualification
- Content must not be offensive, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful
- Judges’ decision will be final and binding.
