About the Job
Lex Consult is hiring a Trainee Associate to join its Dispute Resolution team. The role offers practical exposure to complex legal matters, structured mentorship, and opportunities for continuous learning in a collaborative work environment.
The Trainee Associate – Dispute Resolution role is designed for motivated law graduates and final-year law students interested in building a career in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, insolvency, and corporate disputes. The position provides hands-on drafting experience, practical exposure to legal proceedings, and close mentorship.
Eligibility
Applicants should:
- Be law graduates (LL.B.) or final-year law students.
- Have a strong interest in litigation, arbitration, insolvency, and corporate disputes.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, insolvency, and corporate disputes, along with an aptitude for legal research and continuous learning.
- Possess strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, including the preparation of pleadings, affidavits, written submissions, briefs, and case notes.
- Have a good understanding of the procedural law of the High Court and the National Company Law Tribunals (NCLTs).
- Be proactive, detail-oriented, and willing to learn in a fast-paced litigation environment.
- Possess strong organisational and case management skills with attention to timelines and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support senior associates and partners in the preparation of litigation, arbitration, and insolvency matters.
- Attend client meetings, court hearings, and arbitral proceedings.
- Prepare hearing notes and case materials.
Experience
Post-Qualification Experience (PQE): 0–1 year.
Location
Mumbai.
