About the Job

Digital India Corporation is hiring a Consultant (Techno-Legal) under the Digital Office – DPDP Project. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and supporting the implementation of a digital office framework aligned with data protection and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting analysis of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 to identify obligations relating to digital office implementation
  • Collaborating with IT teams, legal advisors, and management to develop implementation strategies
  • Assessing existing infrastructure, systems, and processes for compliance with data protection requirements
  • Developing and implementing data protection policies, procedures, and controls
  • Assisting in the selection and implementation of:
    • Cloud computing solutions
    • Cybersecurity measures
    • Data encryption protocols
  • Conducting risk assessments and feasibility studies related to data privacy compliance
  • Reviewing and negotiating agreements with vendors and third-party service providers in coordination with legal counsel
  • Preparing training programmes and awareness material for employees
  • Monitoring developments in data protection laws and recommending necessary compliance measures
  • Acting as a liaison with regulatory authorities on matters relating to data protection and privacy compliance

Skills and Knowledge Required

Candidates should have:

  • Understanding of the DPDP Act, 2023
  • Knowledge of data protection and privacy compliance frameworks
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions
  • Ability to conduct legal and regulatory analysis
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
