About Supreme Court of India
The Supreme Court of India (ISO: Bhārata kā Sarvōcca Nyāyālaya) is the supreme judicial authority and the highest court of the Republic of India. It is the final court of appeal for all civil and criminal cases in India. It also has the power of judicial review. The Supreme Court, which consists of the Chief Justice of India and a maximum of fellow 33 judges, has extensive powers in the form of original, appellate and advisory jurisdictions.
About the Job
Online applications are invited from Indian citizens who fulfill the
following essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions as on
08.03.2025 for preparation of a panel for filling up of 241 vacancies for the
post of Junior Court Assistant (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted).
Eligibility
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University
- Minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English Typing on Computer
- Knowledge of Computer operation
Upper age limit: Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 30 years of age as on 08.03.2025. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/
differently abled /Ex-Servicemen and dependents of Freedom Fighters as per
extant Government Rules. There will be no upper age limit for departmental
candidates of the Registry of Supreme Court. However, no relaxation in age
will be allowed to the candidates working in other Government departments
etc.
Salary
The candidates will be placed in Level 6 of Pay Matrix with an initial Basic Pay of Rs. 35,400/-. The approximate Gross Salary as per the existing rate of allowances including HRA comes to Rs. 72,040/- per month (pre-revised pay scale PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-).
Selection Process
The Test will be conducted at 128 Test Centres in 28 States/Union Territory as per Annexure- ‘A
