About the Job
Federal Express Corporation AMEA is inviting applications for a senior-level Legal leadership role based in Mumbai. The role involves leading functional teams and working closely with Officers, Directors, and Senior Vice Presidents to execute regional strategies, manage risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth while maintaining high ethical and professional standards.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized university/law school
- LL.M. – desirable
- Extensive work-related legal knowledge and experience
- FedEx management and/or international experience – highly desirable
- Fluency in English (additional local languages are an advantage)
Responsibilities
- Acting as a FedEx leadership role model, upholding the highest ethical and professional standards
- Leading and supporting functional teams in alignment with regional, divisional, and corporate strategies
- Managing complex, high-impact programs and initiatives across sub-regions
- Ensuring regulatory, legal, and policy compliance across all functional activities
- Advising senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and business-critical developments
- Proactively identifying and mitigating business risks, while protecting company and customer assets
- Driving cross-functional collaboration, performance management, succession planning, and talent development
- Managing functional budgets, optimizing investments, and supporting revenue-enhancing initiatives
- Building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including with regulators and subject matter experts
