About the Job

BMR Legal is inviting applications for its second batch of Research Associates. This role is ideal for candidates interested in deep research, policy analysis, and working on high-impact tax matters.

Eligibility

• LL.B., LL.M., or CA degree
• Law students who have completed final exams and can work full-time from June are eligible
• Strong academic background in law, tax, accounting, economics, or public policy
• Excellent research, drafting, and analytical skills
• Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
• Career Progression
• Opportunity to transition into a client-facing role after 12 months, based on performance and interest
• Exposure to high-impact client engagements and policy work

Responsibilities

• Research and analyse global tax developments (OECD, UN, EU, IFs)
• Support work on BEPS 2.0, transfer pricing, tax treaties, and dispute resolution
• Track and interpret Indian and international tax reforms
• Conduct technical research in domestic tax, international tax, and transfer pricing
• Analyse legislative developments and judicial precedents
• Contribute to articles, research notes, and submissions
• Assist in thought leadership and policy-related work
