About the Job
Rockwell Automation is hiring a Privacy & Cyber Law Specialist to support and strengthen its global privacy and cybersecurity programme. The role involves working closely with legal, cybersecurity, procurement, and business teams to ensure compliance with data protection requirements and improve the organisation’s privacy risk management processes. The position reports to the Assistant General Counsel, Cybersecurity and Chief Privacy Officer.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Law, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- Experience supporting privacy, data protection, or cybersecurity matters in a legal, compliance, or corporate environment.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with global teams.
- An interest in privacy and cybersecurity with a willingness to develop expertise in the field.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting privacy or cybersecurity projects in a corporate or legal environment.
- Familiarity with risk management, data mapping, or privacy management tools such as OneTrust.
- Exposure to policy drafting, compliance documentation, or audit processes.
- A background in information security, IT, or related technical fields.
- IAPP certification (such as CIPP) or willingness to obtain the certification within six months.
Responsibilities
- Partner with procurement and third-party risk teams to conduct privacy and cybersecurity risk reviews across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with system owners and product teams on privacy reviews, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), data mapping activities, and maintenance of sub-processor documentation.
- Support the implementation and development of privacy-enhancing technologies, including OneTrust solutions.
- Coordinate requests from internal stakeholders and assist with project tracking and task management.
- Maintain policies, guidance materials, documentation processes, and support data subject rights requests.
