About the Job

Societe Generale Securities India Pvt. Ltd. is hiring for a Compliance role. The position focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance with SEBI, BSE, NSE, MCX, and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA), supporting corporate secretarial functions, and managing compliance operations within the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

Eligibility

Applicants should have:

  • A graduate degree in any discipline (LLB, B.A., or B.Com preferred).
  • A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a compliance function, preferably with a broking firm.
  • Basic knowledge of SEBI regulations, exchange rules and regulations, and Company Law.
  • The ability to stay updated on regulatory amendments and group policies.
  • Strong analytical thinking, stakeholder management skills, and high integrity.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Membership of the Institute of Company Secretaries.
  • NISM Series III-A Certification.
  • PGDM in Securities Market from NISM.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely filing of regulatory reports with SEBI, stock exchanges, and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
  • Review and circulate regulatory circulars and guidelines issued by SEBI, exchanges, CCPs, and MCA, and coordinate their implementation with relevant departments.
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal departments during regulatory inspections, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Work with regional teams on group projects and India-related market and compliance matters.
  • Support regional reporting requirements.
  • Maintain secretarial records in accordance with Company Law, provide certified true copies of resolutions, organise Board and Committee meetings, and coordinate with external secretarial advisors.
  • Perform surveillance checks, personal account dealing checks, and other compliance-related reviews.
