Eligibility
The following individuals may apply:
- Retired government employees, officers, senior citizens, and social workers.
- Teachers and lecturers of government/non-government schools and colleges.
- Anganwadi and ASHA workers.
- Government and non-government doctors.
- Students and law students.
- Members of non-governmental organisations, clubs, cooperative societies, and NGOs.
- Members of women’s organisations.
- Educated and well-behaved prisoners sentenced to long terms in jail.
- Social workers and volunteers, including voluntary workers of Panchayati Raj and Municipal/Corporation institutions.
- Such other persons who, in the opinion of the District Legal Services Authority or Tehsil Legal Services Committee, are eligible for selection as Para Legal Volunteers.
