Eligibility
Candidates may be selected from the following groups:
- Teachers, including retired teachers.
- Retired government servants and senior citizens.
- Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) students and teachers.
- Anganwadi workers.
- Doctors and physicians.
- Students, including law students, until they enrol as lawyers.
- Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and clubs.
- Members of women’s neighbourhood groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self-Help Groups, including those representing marginalised and vulnerable groups.
- Educated prisoners with good behaviour who are serving long-term sentences.
- Any other person considered suitable for identification as a Para Legal Volunteer by the District Legal Services Authority or the Taluk Legal Services Committee.
