About the Legal Internship Opportunity

CarDekho is inviting applications for the post legal intern.

Eligibility

Experience Range:

0 – 1 years

Educational Qualifications:

-LLB in Law,

a) Be a student of final year of law at a premium Law School or reputed university in India.

b) Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of all Commercial Laws such as, Contract Act, Companies Act, IPR Laws, Information Technology Laws, Data Protection Laws.

c) Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

d) Be able to work in a fast-paced environment for a dynamic company.

e) Be self-motivated and able to adapt to changing priorities.

f) Be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Roles and Responsibilities

a) Support in drafting, reviewing and redlining contracts e.g. NDA, Service Agreements, Software Agreements and other transactional documents received from business teams. Highlighting legal risks involved and aligning the same with the organizations objectives and applicable laws. Communicate contract-related information to all stakeholders and ensure complete contract closure, extension or renewal, as appropriate.

b) Assist in drafting and vetting of various petitions, pleadings, writs, affidavits, counter affidavits, appeals, miscellaneous applications, affidavits, civil or criminal complaints and notices. Communicating with external counsels for updates on cases and other litigation related tasks.

c) Draft and assist in designing standard contract templates with different versions to accommodate varying business scenarios. Maintaining clause playbook/library with various scenarios including best and fallback positions

d) Perform appropriate operational research in areas of commercial law as relevant to the companys business and prospects to support contract development.

e) Facilitate escalation of unresolved issues, approval and signature.

f) Research and analyse areas of commercial law as relevant to the companys business and prospects and prepare memos or position statements for different audiences.

g) Prepare and maintain repository of all legal records and Legal MIS.

h) Support in digitalization of legal processes and work flows.
