About the Job

Amazon is inviting applications for the position of Outsourcing Risk Manager, Account Compliance. The selected candidate will be responsible for executing the First Line outsourcing risk management programme for Amazon Payments’ regulated entities. The role involves conducting outsourcing risk assessments, managing governance frameworks, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, supporting vendor and intragroup arrangements, and driving continuous process improvements.

Eligibility

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience in compliance programme management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or a related field.
• Experience working in confidential environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional auditing qualification or similar risk/compliance credentials.
• Experience in defining programme requirements and leveraging data and metrics to drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead First Line Risk Management for outsourcing arrangements involving internal Amazon entities and external vendors.
• Conduct and manage annual risk assessments for outsourcing arrangements, including information gathering, risk evaluation, and stakeholder approvals.
• Collaborate with Legal and Transfer Pricing teams to maintain and manage intragroup contracts.
• Identify outsourcing-related risks and implement appropriate mitigation controls and performance indicators.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audit and compliance requirements.
• Partner with Business Intelligence Engineers and Analysts to develop and automate reporting mechanisms.
• Establish escalation protocols for contractual and KPI breaches.
• Support business expansion initiatives by ensuring compliant outsourcing structures and vendor onboarding processes.
• Assist with regulatory notifications and submissions where required.
• Drive operational improvements through standardisation, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Promote a strong culture of compliance and risk awareness across teams.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience conducting outsourcing risk assessments in regulated financial services environments.
• Knowledge of outsourcing and third-party risk management regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, Finance, Tax, and business teams.
• Strong analytical, governance, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical business guidance.

Team Overview

The selected candidate will join the Account Compliance Risk & Quality team within TSI. The team functions as the First Line of Defense for outsourcing risk management across Amazon Payments’ regulated entities and works closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance while enabling business growth.
