The Technology Law Committee, which is organizing this competition, is dedicated to exploring emerging trends in technology law and nurturing young legal minds through initiatives like Tech Scribble.

About the opportunity

Tech Scribble is designed to bring together law students, academicians, and professionals interested in the intersection of law and technology. Whether you’re a seasoned writer or new to the field, this competition encourages participants to engage in critical discussions and contribute to the growing discourse around technology law. The competition covers various pressing issues such as data privacy, cyber security, intellectual property, and legal challenges in e-commerce, inviting thought-provoking and research-based blogs from across India.

Participants will not only have the opportunity to sharpen their legal writing skills but also compete for exciting cash prizes and publication opportunities. Selected blogs will be featured in the prestigious Presidency Law Journal and recognized for their contribution to the field.

Eligibility

Tech Scribble welcomes submissions from a wide range of individuals, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students, research scholars, academicians, and legal practitioners based in India. Participants can submit their blogs either as solo authors (Tech Scribe) or in collaboration with a partner (Tech Tandem). Whether you’re a student, researcher, or legal professional, Tech Scribble offers a platform for you to share your expertise and insights on technology law.”

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions must be in MS Word format (.doc/.docx).
  • The word limit for submissions is 1000-2500 words.
  • The main body should be in Times New Roman, font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • Endnotes must conform to the 4th Edition of OSCOLA citation rules and be in Times New Roman, font size 10.
  • All submissions must be original and not exceed 10% plagiarism.

Prizes

  • 1st Prize: Rs. 10,000
  • 2nd Prize: Rs. 7,000
  • 3rd Prize: Rs. 3,000

Important Dates

  • Registrations and Submissions Open: September 10, 2024
  •  Closure of Submissions: October 15, 2024 (Note: This includes both registration and fee payment)
  •  Declaration of Results: October 25, 2024

Registration Fee

Participation Fees:

  • Single authorship  (Tech Scribe): INR 100/-
  • Co-authorship (Tech Tandem): INR 200/- (for a maximum of two authors)
