LawWhelmed, in collaboration with United Legal Attorneys, Chennai, presents a four-week Certificate Course on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) focused on both legal concepts and practical skills.
The course covers trademarks, copyright, designs, trade secrets, licensing, assignments, infringement, enforcement, and IP due diligence. It also explores emerging issues such as AI-generated content, deepfakes, personality rights, and digital IP.
Through practical sessions, participants will learn about trademark registration, copyright ownership, IP agreements, infringement disputes, cease-and-desist notices, and legal remedies.
The programme also includes a dedicated drafting clinic and career guidance covering IP internships, recruitment expectations, and career opportunities.

Copyright protection, ownership disputes, commissioned works, employee and freelancer rights, licensing, assignment, fair dealing, and AI-generated content.
Session 04: IP in the Digital Space
Domain names, cybersquatting, AI-generated works, deepfakes, personality rights, platform liability, NFTs, and emerging digital IP issues.
Session 05: Designs & Trade Secrets — The Underused Rights
Design registration, overlapping rights, protection of confidential business information, trade secrets, non-disclosure agreements, and enforcement challenges.
Session 06: Drafting Clinic — Licensing & Assignment
Understanding the structure of IP licensing agreements, drafting essential clauses, assignment deeds, reviewing agreements, and identifying provisions that require particular attention.
Session 07: IP Enforcement — Notices, Litigation & Injunctions
