About the Job

Aditya Birla Group is hiring a Legal Officer to support legal operations for assigned branches. The role involves assisting business teams with transaction structuring, legal risk assessment, drafting and reviewing legal documents, coordinating with external law firms, and supporting complex transactions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Eligibility

• Graduate.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RERA, Stamp Act (Central & State), Specific Relief Act, applicable real estate laws, Companies Act, RBI regulations, SARFAESI, and related policies, directions, and circulars.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to provide practical and innovative legal solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills suitable for an NBFC environment.

Responsibilities

• Support legal activities for assigned branches.
• Assist business teams in transaction structuring and identifying legal risks.
• Develop and update standard agreements, templates, and legal guidelines.
• Coordinate with external law firms for documentation and legal opinions.
• Review collateral-related documents and title search reports.
• Support senior team members in handling complex transactions with state-specific legal considerations.
• Assess transactions from legal, commercial, compliance, and risk perspectives and identify potential legal risks.
• Recommend legal risk mitigation measures to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Ensure assigned work is completed within prescribed timelines while maintaining quality standards.
• Visit assigned branches, government authorities, and local legal vendors as required.
