About the Job
Position: Legal Manager
Kia India is looking for a Legal Manager with experience in compliance, litigation, legal risk mitigation, and day-to-day legal advisory.
Responsibilities
- Handle compliance and litigation matters, including consumer litigation, property matters, recovery, and related areas.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and codes of conduct aligned with company policies.
- Identify and support legal risk mitigation.
- Conduct compliance audits and prepare related reports and strategies.
- Provide proactive regulatory advice and assess its impact on business operations.
- Conduct awareness, training, and education sessions for employees.
- Handle tool management.
- Coordinate with external counsel.
- Manage cases, including management reporting and obtaining feedback from concerned business teams.
- Stay well versed with applicable laws and regulations and provide opinions and advice on day-to-day legal matters, preferably relating to Sales and Marketing issues in a manufacturing company.
- Take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Travel on short notice when required.
Eligibility
- 6–12 years of experience.
- Experience in compliance, litigation, consumer matters, property, and recovery.
- Ability to speak English and the local language fluently.
- Experience as an in-house counsel in the automotive sector is preferable.
- Self-motivated and hardworking approach.
