About the Internship

42Gears is hiring a Legal Intern.

Eligibility

• A recent law graduate
• Strong interest in technology, SaaS, and privacy laws.
• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations is a plus.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Privacy & Data Protection:

• Assist in ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
• Support the drafting and review of privacy policies, data processing agreements, and internal data protection procedures.
• Conduct research and internal audit on privacy-related legal developments and best practices in the SaaS industry.

Contract Management:

• Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other legal contracts.
• Collaborate with sales, procurement, and other teams to ensure contract compliance and legal soundness.
• Manage and organize legal documentation, including contract repositories and related files.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Research and assist in understanding regulations that impact the SaaS industry, including cybersecurity, e-commerce, and intellectual property laws.
• Work with the legal team to implement compliance programs and provide training to staff on regulatory issues.

Corporate Governance:

• Assist with corporate filings, legal entity management, and maintaining corporate records.
• Support due diligence efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and investments as needed.

General Legal Support:

• Assist in the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research on various issues impacting the business, including IP law, employment law, and international regulations.
