About the Job
Hansen Technologies is hiring a Legal Counsel to join its global Legal function. The role focuses primarily on employment law matters across India and the wider APAC region while also providing exposure to broader commercial, corporate, and operational legal matters. The selected candidate will work closely with Legal, People & Culture, and business leaders across multiple jurisdictions.
Eligibility
Candidates must:
- Be a qualified lawyer in India.
- Ideally have 3–8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Have employment law experience gained in private practice, in-house, or both.
- Have experience in employment law advisory, drafting, and/or dispute matters.
- Possess strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate a commercially focused and solution-oriented approach.
- Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Be interested in developing expertise in multi-jurisdictional employment law across India and the APAC region.
Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Advising on employment law matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Conducting legal research and providing practical, commercially focused legal guidance.
- Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, workplace policies, and related documentation.
- Supporting workplace investigations, disciplinary matters, and employment-related disputes.
- Coordinating with external counsel and assisting with global employment law projects.
- Supporting organisational restructuring, workforce initiatives, and organisational change.
- Building regional employment law expertise across India and the APAC region.
- Assisting with broader legal matters and strategic projects as required.
