About the Job

S.K. Lath & Co. is hiring a Legal Associate for its Real Estate practice. The role requires a technically strong legal professional with in-depth knowledge of real estate title searches and due diligence, with the ability to analyse title records and assess historical ownership and related legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct title tracing and prepare Title Search Reports.
Review and analyse R.S., K.B., and L.R. records and Parchas.
Read and understand Bengali deeds.
Analyse Hindu and Muslim inheritance and succession laws.
Examine devolution, partition, and mutation records.
Review historical title documents.
Analyse property titles and identify relevant legal issues during due diligence.

Eligibility

Strong knowledge of real estate title search and due diligence.
Expertise in title tracing and preparation of Title Search Reports.
Familiarity with R.S., K.B., and L.R. records/Parchas.
Ability to read and understand Bengali deeds.
Knowledge of Hindu and Muslim inheritance and succession laws.
Understanding of devolution, partition, mutation, and historical title documents.
Ability to analyse a title rather than merely review documents.
