About the Job

Nilaya Legal has announced an opening for the position of Associate for its Corporate & Commercial and Venture Capital Practice. The role is intended for legal professionals who are interested in advising fast-growing businesses and founders on corporate and commercial transactions.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• 1–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
• Exposure to venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or joint venture (JV) transactions.
• Good understanding of corporate laws, FEMA, RBI regulations, and data privacy.
• Exposure to startups or venture-backed companies is desirable.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work on matters relating to:

• Corporate and Commercial advisory.
• Venture Capital transactions.
• Private equity and investment matters.
• Mergers and acquisitions.
• Strategic corporate transactions.
