About the Job

BlackRock is hiring an Associate – Employee Compliance to join its Compliance Department in Gurgaon, Haryana. The Compliance function plays a critical role in protecting BlackRock’s reputation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and embedding a strong compliance culture across the organization.

This role focuses on Business-as-Usual (BAU) employee compliance activities, regulatory advisory, training, and collaboration with global compliance teams.

Eligibility

Applicants should have:

• Sector experience in asset management or investment banking
• Strong understanding of risk management and compliance frameworks
• Experience in regulatory requirements across key agencies
• Understanding of personal conflicts of interest within asset management/banking environments
• Strong operational, analytical, and/or project management skills
• Awareness of the current regulatory landscape

Responsibilities

The Associate – Employee Compliance will be responsible for:

• Owning BAU Employee Compliance activities, including:
  • Personal Trading
  • Outside Business Activities
  • Gifts & Entertainment
  • Complaints
  • MiFID II Knowledge and Proficiency
• Acting as a subject matter expert on employee compliance policies and related regulatory requirements
• Monitoring regulatory developments and identifying key regulatory risks arising from BAU processes
• Assisting the business in complying with conduct rules and regulatory obligations
• Reviewing processes and controls in line with business changes, regional initiatives, and new regulations
• Developing and delivering training programs on employee compliance topics
• Collaborating closely with Global Employee Compliance teams to ensure consistency and alignment
• Supporting the evolution of BlackRock’s Employee Compliance Program, including process improvements and technology enhancements
• Advising employees on compliance-related matters
• Participating in compliance transformation projects and providing SME input to business and legal & compliance partners
