About the Job
Khaitan Realty is looking for an experienced legal professional to manage real estate legal matters, documentation, compliance, and dispute resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in property laws, contract drafting, due diligence, and project approvals.
Eligibility
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Real Estate / Property Law.
- Strong understanding of West Bengal land and property laws, RERA, and registration rules.
- Experience in title search, land acquisition processes, and drafting property contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work with internal teams, brokers, developers, and government authorities.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and vet agreements, including Sale Agreements, Lease Deeds, Joint Development Agreements, MOUs, POAs, and Broker Agreements.
- Conduct legal due diligence for land/projects/properties to verify title, ownership, past encumbrances, municipal clearances, and litigation history.
- Ensure compliance with RERA, Municipal Corporation, Land & Revenue, Urban Development, and Registration Department requirements.
- Coordinate for land conversion, mutation, deed registration, and record correction with relevant authorities.
- Represent the company before legal bodies, regulatory departments, and during dispute settlements.
- Manage litigation matters in coordination with external legal counsel if required.
- Maintain legal records, case status reports, and compliance trackers.
- Provide legal advisory to management to prevent business risks and enable smooth project execution.
