Eligibility

Qualifications shall be as prescribed in Sections I and II.1 of Appendix A of Notification No. 15 – Professor (Law).

The prescribed essential qualifications and experience are the bare minimum. Possession of the prescribed qualifications and experience does not automatically entitle candidates to be called for an interview.

The prescribed qualifications must have been obtained from recognised universities or institutions.

Pay Structure

Pay Level 14, as per the VII Central Pay Commission.

Nature of Appointment

The appointment will be on a permanent basis until the age of superannuation, i.e. 65 years, subject to confirmation upon satisfactory completion of two years of probation.

General Conditions

• Foreign nationals, OCI, NRI and PIO candidates are permitted to apply. If selected, confirmation of appointment will be subject to obtaining the necessary visa approvals as prescribed by the Government of India.
• Candidates are required to submit their applications through online mode only by completing the Application Form and uploading copies of all required certificates. Applications without the required certificates will not be considered.
• Candidates must produce the original documents at the time of joining.
• Candidates serving in Government or Public Sector Undertakings, including Boards and Autonomous Bodies, are required to submit a No Objection Certificate from their current employer at the time of interview, if it has not been submitted earlier.
• If a large number of applications are received, NLSIU reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates called for interview to a reasonable limit.
• No correspondence will be entertained regarding the conduct or result of the interview or the reasons for not being called for an interview.
• Canvassing in any form or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification for the post.
