About the Job
V.N. Kumar & Associates is hiring Junior Associates / Junior Advocates for their office.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a law graduate/practicing advocate
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of practice in subordinate courts
- Must be able to read and write in both English and Kannada
- Must have computer knowledge and typing skills
- Prior internship and work experience should be relevant to civil, criminal, matrimonial, or revenue matters, preferably involving court practice and legal drafting
Responsibilities
The selected candidates will be involved in matters relating to the High Court of Karnataka, as well as civil, criminal, revenue, and matrimonial cases, with a primary focus on civil and criminal litigation.
The work will include:
- Assisting in litigation matters
- Legal drafting and documentation
- Court-related work in subordinate courts and other relevant forums
- Case preparation and file handling
- Reading, writing, and handling legal materials in English and Kannada
- Legal Research
- Property title verification, Registration etc.
Timing
8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.
Hours may extend depending on work requirements and case-related constraints.
