About the Job

KMJ Legal Chambers is inviting applications for the position of Junior Associate.

The role involves assisting in litigation matters, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and contributing to legal publications.

Eligibility

• LL.B. (3-year or 5-year course)
• 0.5–2 years of relevant legal experience
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Prior experience of writing/publishing legal research papers or articles in journals (mandatory)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
• High level of professionalism and commitment to quality
• Candidates residing around South Delhi preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in handling civil, criminal, and commercial litigation matters across various forums
• Draft pleadings, legal notices, contracts, legal opinions, and other legal documents
• Conduct in-depth legal research on statutes, case laws, and international instruments
• Prepare legal reports, case briefs, and research notes
• Contribute to legal publications, blogs, and internal knowledge repositories

Mandatory Documents

• Marksheets of all previous semesters
• Two published research papers/articles
• Updated CV
• Professional Letter of Recommendation (to be submitted at the time of interview)

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a physical interview in Delhi (likely to be conducted this week)

Salary

Commensurate with experience and in line with industry standards

Probation Period

2 months (performance will be reviewed before confirmation)
