About the Internship

Hilti is seeking motivated 4th or 5th year law students for a 6–8 weeks internship with the Legal & Compliance team at Hilti India. The ideal candidates should have a strong academic foundation in Contract Law and Company Law, prior internships with reputable law firms, and excellent legal research and drafting skills. 

Eligibility

Educational Requirements

• 4th or 5th year students enrolled in a 5-year integrated LL.B. program.
• Must have good knowledge in Contract Law and Company Law.

Prior Experience

• Previous internships with established law firms (mandatory).
• Exposure to commercial/transactional teams is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Good understanding of contract structures and legal terminology.
• Ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel
• Attention to detail, professionalism, and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

The selected interns will assist the Legal & Compliance team in:

1. Contracting & Commercial Support

• Reviewing and red lining commercial agreements with third party (including NDAs, procurement service agreements, and customer contracts/T&C).
• Assisting in drafting standard contract clauses and maintaining contract templates.
• Supporting negotiation preparation by conducting background research on legal issues and contractual risks.

2. Legal Research & Advisory

• Conducting legal and case law research on issues relating to the Information Technology Act, contract law, company law, data privacy, labour codes and other relevant Indian laws.
• Preparing concise legal research notes/opinions, internal briefs, and risk assessment summaries.

3. Corporate Governance & Company Law Support

• Assisting in reviewing and updating litigation trackers, statutory filings and maintaining proper records of the same
