Internship Experience at Unique Law

Name, College, Year of Study
My name is Palak Mathur. I am a 4th year Law Student at Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Location
Online Internship
Duration
September 28, 2020 to October 26, 2020.
Source of Application
The organization was open for application via Internshala. I updated my resume and applied through the site. After short listing, a form was given as a selection procedure. Once I was selected, the organization mailed me the offer letter via e-mail. The terms and conditions were to be further accepted by affixing my signature.
Task Assigned
The interns were allotted with topics on which they had to write legal blogs, research paper, articles, etc. I was given a task for each week for which we were also allotted a mentor to help and guide us throughout the process of writing.
What I learnt
We were given the current topics on which we had to either write a legal blog or an article or a research paper. This helped me have detailed knowledge about the situations that were currently going on in the country. This further helped me to become more aware of my surroundings. I also learned about several laws and legislations and now have a deep understanding and applicability of the same. We were given the topics but for the last task we were given the liberty to choose our own topic. Since it was my first time doing the legal research work, it helped me build my foundation for the same and also improved my research skills. We were allotted mentors for each task. They really helped me in writing my article/legal blog. They were constantly guiding me throughout the entire process and resolved my queries at the earliest.
Work Environment
The work environment was extremely supportive and all the team members were attentive in solving issues if faced by anyone. They were really very helpful and guided every intern throughout the entire process of writing. The mentors were available at all times via WhatsApp. In short, the team was supportive, friendly and extremely very helpful.
Perks
Certificate of Internship
Stipend
No stipend.
Conclusion
I really enjoyed working at Unique Law. They helped me nurture myself in the research field. I was encouraged and supported from time to time. I got to learn a lot especially about how to write legal blogs, articles, research papers, etc.; how to draft them and what should be included and what should be not. In short, the organization and its team members were great and very helpful.
