Application Procedure

The application was made through email: [email protected] by mailing a resume and cover letter after I saw an internship notification on Facebook posted by the firm. There was an email that stated about the acceptance of the internship application after eighteen days.

Main Task

• My work was to observe court proceedings, especially looking at the progress of the firm’s cases.
• Case briefs were given to the interns to understand the format, way of drafting, and provision used in certain cases
• I mainly looked into civil revisional and writ jurisdiction cases.
• I had to do a deep analysis of certain acts like the Arbitration and Conciliation Act,1996, and the SARFAESI Act, etc
• I also helped the paralegal team by aiding their manual work such as putting stamps on petitions, arranging documents, putting warrants into envelopes, and filling the requisites on them, etc.

Good Things

The best part was that the interns got attention from the mentor I.e. senior who took account of the notes and learned from each case made by the interns including me. The workload was manageable. The time was flexible even the interns could get time to do their studies along with the internship.

Bad Things

The bad thing was that I was unable to have interaction or have an orientation with Mr. Paritosh Sinha, CEO of the law firm

Work Culture

There is an environmentally friendly atmosphere. People are helpful and friendly though things are taught at a slower pace. Birthdays and pujas are celebrated.
