How Did You Apply?

I applied through the mail, by filling out the internship form along with the LOR provided by my college.

Work Profile/ Main Task?

It was an offline internship from 9 am to 2 pm, Monday to Friday, I got the opportunity to intern under Jaipur District, there are two other offices also, Jaipur metro-I, and Jaipur metro-II.

A separate work schedule was provided to us on Day 1 of our internship, which included lectures on various schemes by NALSA and RALSA, visits at different places such as old age homes, District court, mediation centers, Observation Homes (Juvenile Justice Board), Police stations, Central Jail and Women rehabilitation centers.

By visiting courts, I got to know more about FIR and the Final report, even about how the statement is recorded in front of a magistrate under section 164 CrPC, the procedure for Bail, I read case files related to NI Act, POCSO, and some criminal files related to murder charges too.

Work Environment

The working environment was very healthy and enriching.

Good Things

This one month was a period of great learning and valuable experience for me, wherein I got to know certain things which I being a law student should have been aware of, such as various schemes by NALSA and RALSA, also about PLVs (Para-legal volunteers).
