How Did You Apply?

I applied through Internshala. I send them my resume and why I wanted to work there. After they shortlisted my application, I was set up for the interview on the call. I was asked about my areas of interest and was explained what they were expecting from me.

Work Profile/ Main Tasks

As it was in online mode, all the interactions were done through phone call and Google meetings. My first interaction was with Aayush sir as he was my mentor for the internship and I had to work under his supervision. The company was going to launch their book on certain legal aspects which included environmental laws, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), energy laws, company laws and others kinds which were related to the company. I was asked for my area of interest and I chose to take up environmental law and ADR. My task on a daily basis was to perform legal research on the topics assigned by our mentor.

We were divided in groups and we had to coordinate among ourselves to complete the work. We had a specific deadline to submit our work and then to discuss about it if any improvements had to be made. Tasks were given on a daily basis and we used to have a meeting daily regarding our work progress. It was basically like reporting about details of our work in brief. My work was reviewed and suggestions were given if any improvements had to be made. Also, if I was not able to understand certain things, help was also extended.

Later in the next week, I was added to the social media group of the company where, I interacted with Ms. Aanya and Ms. Vanita. They assigned me work which involved making short videos for Instagram regarding different laws and rights which every citizen of India is entitled to. It was fun to work with them.

Work Environment

The work environment was very friendly and cooperative.

Good Things

Being a 2nd year law student at that time, I was unaware of certain fields and areas of law which I discovered with the help of the internship as I was given the research work in the area which I was yet to study.

Bad Things

No bad things as such except for the fact that it was in online mode due to the pandemic. I was looking forward to work in offline mode so that I could experience and learn more things.

Stipend

No stipend was being provided during the internship.
