First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

On the first day, they introduced us to the organisation and the work they do so that we could get accustomed to the work environment.

They explained their ongoing projects and gave us a brief of what we are expected to do till the next month, but the most important question they wanted us to answer was what our work expectations were, as they wanted to ensure a better work experience and that we made the most of this opportunity.

Main Tasks

Every day, we had to engage with all of the NGO’s social media handles. We had to take fun learning activity classes under the Drishti Project for the children at Arjun Camp three times a week and create modules for the same. We also had to choose a cause and organise a fundraiser for it. We participated in several distribution drives and wrote event reports for them. After taking surveys of the people in Arjun Camp, we filed RTIs for the problems that people were facing there. We also sent volunteering and internship opportunities to various other people, schools and placement cells of universities. We were given various cases and asked to analyse them. We accompanied the Advocates working in the NGO to Saket Court for a number of cases they were working on in public interest. We were asked to read bare acts and answer various questions using case laws, other reliable sources, and so on.
