I had applied for the internship with the letter of recommendation of my college in Human Resource Department of Grasim Industries Limited Staple Fibre Division. From there I was headed to the Legal Department of Grasim Industries Limited Staple Fibre Division and thus, I started my internship.

Tasks Assigned

1. In this internship, I was given the task to research on the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The main idea behind this task was to learn the way in which the industrial peace and harmony is secured in an industrial establishment.

•  Another task which was allotted to me was to read the files of the ongoing labour law cases of disputes between the management of the company and the labourers of the company and to discuss the main issues which arose in those particular cases with the Legal Manager. The main aim behind this task was to gain some valuable inputs of the Legal Manager as to the proper approach to deal with the issues of the case.

Work Environment

I received full support and cooperation from the staff members of the Legal Department. All the members in the department helped me with the in-depth case analysis and guided me through their valuable suggestions which in turn helped me to apprehend the cases in a better way.

Stipend

No stipend was being provided during the course of the internship.

Conclusion

It was a very productive and fruitful internship from my point of view as it helped me to gain command over legal research and it also helped me develop a lot of patience for the purpose of in-depth legal research. This internship helped me develop a skill to properly interpret the provisions of a particular act while researching on it. Thus, it was an amazing learning as well as working experience.
