Duration of Internship

19th June, 2022 till 19th July, 2022

How Did to Apply?

I got this internship through personal contacts and connections. You can directly approach him for an internship at court.

Work Profile/ Main Task

My main task as an intern involved:

  1. attending the court proceedings.
  2. To understand how pleading was done.
  3. Reading the case files and giving my input on the same.
  4. Observing the types of cases that come under the lower-level court.
  5. Observing how cross-examination is to be done.

Work Environment

The work environment was good as Satish sir was affable and he used to solve our all doubts. He explains it in a very easy way with examples. The ambiance of the lower court is very different from the higher court. There is too much going on everywhere but on the other side, everyone was very helpful to each other and dedicated to the work. Sir guide and teach us wholeheartedly so that we can actually learn things. He also took a weekly session in which he asked questions and guided us about the basics of law. He also made us visit High Court once and it was a wonderful experience.

Good things

Every law student needs to do one internship in the lower court. The experience and environment of the lower courts are very different from higher courts. In the lower court, you got the opportunity to learn how our judicial system works and what are the basic legal problems our people face. The basic learning which you got from a lower court internship will not be available in higher courts. So as per my experience interning in the lower court is as important as interning in a higher court.

Bad things

I don’t find any bad things in this internship.

Stipend (if any)

There is no stipend involved.
