The School of Law at GD Goenka University was established shortly after the University’s founding and combines an advanced academic curriculum with experiential legal training. About The Competition

The Eighth Edition marks a significant milestone in our continued partnership with CIArb (India) and underscores our commitment to promoting ADR as a preferred mechanism of dispute resolution. This year’s edition places a special focus on the evolving and increasingly crucial domain of Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) considerations in international commercial arbitration.

The competition is designed to simulate authentic arbitral proceedings, providing participants to argue before seasoned arbitrators and practitioners, analyse multifaceted ESG-related issues, and present their cases with clarity, rigour and conviction.

Eligibility

Undergraduate or postgraduate student of law from any recognized institution (Only one team will be allowed to participate from a single institution)

Mode of the Competition

Offline, On-campus

Registration Fee

12,000 INR (125 USD) (Includes Food and Accommodation)

Team Composition

Three members – Two Speakers and One Researcher

  • June 15 Opening Of Registrations & Release Of Moot Proposition
  • July 30 Deadline For Clarifications
  • August 05 Release Of Clarifications
  • August 10 Deadline For Registrations
  • August 31 Memorial Submission Deadline
  • September 25-27 Oral Rounds
