HOW DID I APPLY:

I applied through Internshala which provide a platform for easy application to internships under various profiles according to our preferences. A self-created resume (CV) along with answers to some basic questions like ‘Why do you think you should be hired?’, ‘How you can prove to be an asset to the organization?’ and past experiences.

MAIN TASKS, WORK PROFILE AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

During the lockdown, when classes and exams were suspended and I had nothing serious to do, I tried to apply for a few internships to utilize my time productively and gain some professional working experience. This was my first internship. During the course of internship, I learnt about the duties and responsibilities of HR Manager. I learnt about interviewing skills and response assessment that are required to carry on the recruitment process in any organization. I learnt database management and network building. I also learnt how to make a professional plan for execution of any event. After that I planned a campaign for our team and presented it to the entire unit towards the end of my internship.

GOOD AND BAD THINGS:   

Through this internship, I gained exposure out of my comfort zone and it provided me a platform that helped me enhance my communication skills and get in contact with few like minded people from different regions of the country.

Negative part of this internship was that some of the tasks given to the interns were not relevant to HR profile.

STIPEND:

No stipend was provided. It was an unpaid internship.    

ACCOMODATION:

Not required as it was an online internship that too during the peak of pandemic.

CONCLUSION:

It was a great learning and motivating experience which made me eager to work harder and improve my skillset through interning in various organizations.
