Dr. Rajendra Prasad NLU Felicitates Hon’ble Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta on His Elevation as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Uttarakhand

Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University, Prayagraj, organised a Felicitation Ceremony on 21^st February, 2026, to honour Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta on His Lordship’s elevation as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Uttarakhand. The ceremony was convened as a special institutional tribute, and marked a moment of immense pride for the University community and acknowledged His Lordship’s exemplary contribution to building of the University, and His Lordship’s enduring association with the institution.

As a mark of deep respect and admiration, the University felicitated His Lordship with a memento, a portrait, a poem by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University, and a congratulatory card thoughtfully prepared by the students. Delivering the Welcome Address, Senior Professor (Dr.) Usha Tandon, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, described the occasion as a matter of great pride and privilege for the University. She acknowledged His Lordship’s invaluable contribution to the institution, particularly during its formative years, and noted that His Lordship has consistently extended guidance and support whenever called upon. In His Lordship’s address, Hon’ble the Chief Justice expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and the University for the felicitation. His Lordship described his association with the University as deeply meaningful and observed that His Lordship’s elevation is not merely a personal milestone but also a moment of collective pride for an institution with which His Lordship has shared a close and enduring relationship since its inception.
