About the Internship Programme

The CSGS Summer Internship Programme 2026 offers students an opportunity to work on interdisciplinary projects related to gender, sexuality, research, public engagement, archives, literature, and healthcare access.

The programme is organised by the Centre for Studies in Gender and Sexuality (CSGS), Ashoka University.

Internship Duration

1 June 2026 – 1 August 2026

Stipend

₹10,000 per month

Mode of Application

Applications will only be accepted through the official Google Form. Email applications will not be considered.

Candidates may apply for a maximum of 2 projects.

Available Internship Projects

Social Behaviour Research in Zebrafish (Professor Bittu)

Mode: On-Site
Positions: 2

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with behavioural trials
  • Conduct video analysis and data processing

Eligibility: Demonstrated interest in behavioural/neuroscience research

Proseterity

Mode: Remote
Positions: 2

Responsibilities:

  • Create social media and literary content
  • Assist with workshops and reading labs
  • Build databases for grants and collaborations

Eligibility:

  • Background in literature/art
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Google Suite

Queer India Archives (QIA)

Mode: In-Office (Delhi)
Positions: 2

Responsibilities:

  • Catalogue archival materials
  • Manage metadata and archival structures
  • Assist with scanning and digitisation work

Eligibility:

  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Background in History, Sociology, Gender Studies, or related fields

Safe Access

Mode: Remote
Positions: 2

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with healthcare accountability initiatives
  • Create accessible content and research materials
  • Support programme coordination and documentation

Eligibility:

  • Interest in law, public health, media, social sciences, or related fields
  • Strong writing and research skills
  • Sensitivity towards queer and trans issues

  • One-page Resume
  • Cover Letter (maximum 500 words for each project)

All files must be submitted in PDF format with naming format:
