Understand the business of creativity. Identify copyrightable works, navigate the difference between authorship and ownership, and manage a copyright portfolio. Learn to draft and negotiate licensing and assignment agreements for commercial exploitation and understand international protections under the Berne Convention.

Module 4 – Copyright: Infringement, Dispute Resolution, and AI Interplay
Tackle modern copyright challenges. Learn the test for infringement under Section 51, master the defense of “fair use,” and dive into the critical legal questions surrounding AI-generated content. Analyse who owns AI creations and whether “fair use” can be a valid defense for AI models.

Module 5 – Patents: Patentability, Filing, and International Frameworks
Protect innovation from day one. Learn the patentability criteria (novelty, inventive step), conduct prior art searches, and understand the patent filing procedure. Get hands-on experience in a workshop dedicated to drafting patent claims and learn to navigate international filings via PCT and WIPO.
