About the Job

ZS is hiring an Associate Counsel for its Data Protection team. The role involves advising on privacy laws, supporting commercial transactions, and managing data protection risks across global operations.

Eligibility

• LL.B. degree with strong academic background
• 1–3 years of experience in privacy, data protection, or commercial contracts
• Knowledge of laws like DPDP Act (India) and GDPR (EU)
• Experience in reviewing vendor agreements
• Basic understanding of IT systems and SaaS platforms preferred
• Strong communication and analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate privacy and data protection clauses in agreements
• Support IT team with vendor contract reviews and risk assessment
• Advise on privacy and AI compliance matters
• Conduct privacy impact assessments (DPIAs/PIAs)
• Assist with audits and data protection questionnaires
• Support legal and business teams on data protection issues
