Amazon Development Centre (India) Private Limited is hiring for the position of Associate Corporate Counsel. The role involves providing legal advice, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, addressing legal disputes, supporting business initiatives, and ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and company policies.

Eligibility

At least four years of legal experience.
Associate Member (ACS) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), with valid ICSI membership.
LL.B. degree from a recognised university in India.
Experience as a practising lawyer or in-house attorney at a reputable law firm or the legal department of a reputable company.
Primary and autonomous responsibility for client advisory, reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of standard commercial contracts.
A combination of experience in a corporate law firm and an in-house legal role.
Strong legal and business judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to communicate and coordinate complex issues and projects with different levels of management and employees.

Responsibilities

Provide ongoing legal advice across areas including intellectual property, digital media, e-commerce marketplaces, company secretarial matters, and regulatory compliance.
Resolve issues arising from existing commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation disputes and legal inquiries.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts end-to-end, ensuring alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.
Review business structures for new and existing initiatives and develop or refine terms and conditions for programmes and services.
- Review and approve promotional artwork and advertisements across print and digital media to ensure compliance with Amazon standards.
Analyse business processes, understand business requirements, and draft contractual scopes.
Work autonomously while communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders.
