About the Job

Poovayya & Co. is inviting applications for the position of Senior Associate (Information Technology). The role involves handling litigation and advisory work for intermediaries, including strategic representation and client advisory in technology law matters.

Eligibility

• 5–8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Strong understanding of India’s technology landscape, IT Act, and allied rules
• Proficiency in legal research and drafting
• Excellent command over English
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to articulate complex legal positions effectively, including to international stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Leading client interactions
• Developing case strategies
• Drafting pleadings for social media intermediaries across forums
• Advising on intermediary liability, data privacy, content moderation laws, and criminal law aspects
• Guiding junior associates in research and drafting
