About the Job

Maruti Suzuki India Limited is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager (Compliance Counsel). The role involves supporting the organisation’s compliance framework, conducting compliance audits, advising business teams on regulatory matters, and assisting in the development and implementation of compliance policies and processes.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.)
• Have 2–5 years of relevant experience
• Possess knowledge of industrial and labour laws

Additional qualifications such as LL.M. or Master’s in Business Laws will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing training content and modules on laws and organising compliance trainings for business teams
• Preparing presentations and communications for dissemination across the company
• Conducting research on legal and regulatory changes, analysing their impact, and providing compliance advisories and solutions
• Providing proactive compliance support and legal advice to business teams
• Conducting compliance audits and coordinating with business teams for closure of identified concerns and improvement areas
• Participating in and leading compliance initiatives and awareness programmes across the organisation
• Identifying instances of non-compliance and coordinating with relevant functions for resolution
• Addressing legal notices, regulatory filings, and statutory approval processes
• Identifying emerging compliance trends and recommending measures to strengthen compliance readiness
• Evaluating, designing, updating, and implementing compliance policies, SOPs, and processes in alignment with legal requirements
