The Legal & Secretarial team plays a crucial role in supporting Meesho with expertise in secretarial matters, corporate governance, IPO readiness, and M&A. About the Job
The Assistant Manager – Legal will act as both a legal advisor and business enabler, working closely with leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders. The role involves shaping key transactions, driving compliance excellence, and enabling Meesho’s growth journey.
Eligibility
- Qualified LLB with 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience.
- Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in‑house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Proven expertise in cross‑border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong foundation in contract and commercial laws.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Analytical and strategic mindset with problem‑solving ability.
- Effective stakeholder management and trust‑building skills.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and close a wide range of commercial agreements (vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, customer, procurement, and strategic partnerships).
- Manage end‑to‑end contracting processes with enterprise customers, vendors, and partners.
- Advise stakeholders on contract risks, obligations, liabilities, and commercial considerations.
- Partner with business, sales, finance, procurement, product, and operations teams to structure transactions and mitigate risks.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy/process changes.
- Drive improvements in contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and risk frameworks.
- Provide clear, actionable business advice on complex legal issues.
- Operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with multiple priorities.
