The Legal & Secretarial team plays a crucial role in supporting Meesho with expertise in secretarial matters, corporate governance, IPO readiness, and M&A. About the Job

The Assistant Manager – Legal will act as both a legal advisor and business enabler, working closely with leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders. The role involves shaping key transactions, driving compliance excellence, and enabling Meesho’s growth journey.

Eligibility

• Qualified LLB with 3–5 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in‑house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
• Proven expertise in cross‑border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
• Strong foundation in contract and commercial laws.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Analytical and strategic mindset with problem‑solving ability.
• Effective stakeholder management and trust‑building skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and close a wide range of commercial agreements (vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, customer, procurement, and strategic partnerships).
• Manage end‑to‑end contracting processes with enterprise customers, vendors, and partners.
• Advise stakeholders on contract risks, obligations, liabilities, and commercial considerations.
• Partner with business, sales, finance, procurement, product, and operations teams to structure transactions and mitigate risks.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy/process changes.
• Drive improvements in contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and risk frameworks.
• Provide clear, actionable business advice on complex legal issues.
• Operate effectively in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with multiple priorities.
