About the Job
Standard Chartered is hiring an Assistant Manager – Specialized Collections Legal.
The role involves managing legal activities for the collections department, handling guaranteed loan recoveries, overseeing foreclosure processes, maintaining legal MIS, and supporting the collections function through legal and compliance processes.
Eligibility
Applicants should have:
- An LL.B. or a Bachelor’s degree in any stream with knowledge of legal documentation.
- Knowledge of legal documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet-based applications.
- Proficiency in English.
Responsibilities
- Handle legal activities for the collections department.
- Manage guaranteed loan recoveries and maintain MIS for legal actions.
- Support the collections function through legal processes.
- Oversee legal and foreclosure processes for the Wealth and Retail Banking (WRB) collections function.
- Identify and manage legal and compliance risks related to collection activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and the Group’s Code of Conduct.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve legal, compliance, and conduct-related matters.
