About the Job
Kumar Legal Research is looking for a skilled and experienced Advocate with a solid non-litigation background.
Eligibility
- The candidate should be proficient in drafting, reviewing, and vetting a variety of legal documents, including but not limited to Facility Agreements, Mortgage Deeds, Deeds of Hypothecation, Guarantee Documents, Deeds of Assignment, and Indemnity Bonds.
- The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Banking & Finance Laws, Property Laws, and Contract Laws to join our Mumbai team.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar role or field.
- LLB degree from a reputable law college. (Preference will be given to those who have completed a specialized course in drafting or have a Master’s degree in law)
Responsibilities
- Conducting Title Investigations and preparing detailed search reports for Banks and NBFCs on Freehold, Leasehold, and Gaothan properties.
- Providing legal opinions and search reports for properties such as Flats, Lands, Plots, and APFs for Banks and NBFCs.
- Advising private banks on corporate matters, consortium agreements, and External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) documentation.
- Offering legal guidance on security creation for syndicated loans, ECBs, and ensuring compliance with RBI regulations.
- Drafting and reviewing loan agreements, including deeds of mortgage, hypothecation, guarantees, and memoranda of deposit of title deeds.
- Assisting clients with project and infrastructure financing, and preparing related agreements.
- Supporting foreign banks in securing assets in India and ensuring RBI compliance.
- Conducting due diligence for property lease and sale transactions to ensure compliance.
- Performing title searches to facilitate security creation by banks and financial institutions.
