About the Organisers

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 1998. The headquarters and main campus of MANUU is located in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, Telangana State, over an area of 200 acres. The University is named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the freedom fighter and outstanding scholar, who as the first Education Minister of Independent India envisioned and laid the foundation of technical, scientific and higher education in India.

About the Event

MANUU Law School Proudly announces its 2nd MANUU Law School National Moot Court Competition 2026 schedule

• Researcher’s Test (Online): 05 January 2026
• Preliminary & Quarter Rounds: 10 & 11th January 2026 (Online Mode)
• Semi Final & Finals Rounds: 24th January 2025 (Offline Mode)

The Competition involves AI/ IPR with a focus on the AI inventorship and authorship rights under patent and copyright law, addressing whether AI systems can be legal creators. It also covers territorial jurisdiction issues, copyright infringement through AI training on scraped data, and civil procedure regarding maintainability and remedies in commercial disputes involving AI-generated works.

Eligibility

The Competition shall be open for the students who duly enrolled and are pursuing an integrated 5 years or 3 years Law Program in India from an institution recognized by the Bar Council of India.
